43855 Series
The Faxitron 43855 Series is available in models D through F with many options to choose from to best meet your specific application. These include microfocus and high kV x-ray sources, computed radiography (CR) imaging, and real-time imaging components. CR systems utilize phosphor storage plates in place of film. These flexible plastic plates are coated with an x-ray sensitive material that can be erased and reused thousands of times. No changes in x-ray exposure settings are required. Real-time image acquisition is achieved through the use of an x-ray image intensifier coupled with a high resolution CCD camera. Nine inch, 6", and 4" image area intensifier packages are offered. The high resolution video image is analyzed with image processing software and stored for later review.
However configured, all 43855 models are safe and reliable, provide long life, and excellent value. All models are simple to operate and require no radiographic training. From the compact 43855D, to the extra-spacious 43855E, you can select the cabinet size and film-to-source distances to fit your testing requirements:
- The compact 43855D with a film-to-source distance that can be varied from 12" to 28" (30.5 to 71 cm)
- The 31-inch (79 cm) wide 43855F to handle larger samples, with a film-to-source distances from 14" to 52" (35.6 to 132 cm)
- Or, the Faxitron 43855E – our largest unit (shown above with real- time imaging components) – that stands 71-inches (180 cm) tall with internal dimensions of 30" H x 42" W x 30" D (76 x 107 x 76 cm) and a 41-inch (104.1 cm) film-to-source distance
