MX-20
Radiography System
The MX-20 Radiography System is utilized in medical facilities and scientific laboratories worldwide. In hospitals, the digital system provides on-the-spot images in seconds eliminating the scheduling problems common with conventional mammography systems, thus saving precious time which means a faster procedure and faster results for the patient, doctor, and staff. In research laboratories, the magnification capabilities deliver highly detailed radiographs of small animals and seeds.
Superior image quality. The MX-20 can be equipped with our large 12 cm x 12 cm camera for general biopsy use or for animal imaging. Our smaller, less expensive 5 cm x 5 cm camera is ideal when the system will be located in a stereotactic suite dedicated to core biopsies or used for seed imaging. Both cameras offer exceptional 10 lp/mm spatial resolution. The 20 micron nominal (10-12 typical) focal spot and up to 5X additional geometric magnification provide for ultra high-contrast and high spatial resolution images. The MX-20 can also be used with traditional film for maximum versatility or purchased as a film unit and then upgraded to digital as needs change and budgets allow.
Easy to operate. The MX-20 is extremely easy to operate. Simply place the specimen on the cabinet shelf to deliver the desired magnification, close the shielded, safety-interlocked door, and activate the x-ray. In the digital mode, our advanced Automatic Exposure Control selects the appropriate exposure time and kV settings for the specimen and then automatic window leveling and auto sharpen take over to deliver the optimal image in a matter of seconds. Of course, all of these settings can be manually adjusted as well to suit the specific preferences of the user. The system requires self-calibration only once per day which takes less than 1 minute.
DICOM 3.0 compliant software. For use in medical facilities, the software conforms to DICOM standards and includes DICOM Store, Modality Work List and Print Service Classes. Results are archived by patient name, doctor, operator and date. Click here to view the DICOM conformance statement for the software.
Safety and Specifications. Like all Faxitron imaging systems, the MX-20 is completely shielded and safe for use without additional operator shielding. The door has dual safety interlocks that disable the x-ray source when the door is open or if it is accidentally opened during exposure.
