RX-650 and CP-160 irradiation systems

The compact Faxitron RX-650 system’s size and radiation safe enclosure make it ideal for location almost anywhere and thus a very attractive alternative to isotopic irradiators. The larger CP-160 accommodates specimens up to 40” H x 24” W x 24” D. The unique modular design of the two irradiation units provides long life and easy upgrades. Operator controls are user friendly, allowing operation by persons with no previous x-ray training. A 2- RPM electrically operated turntable helps ensure uniform dosing. In addition, the CP-160 is also available with a dual focal spot x-ray source and dual tube option for imaging.

These factors combined with a modest purchase price make both the RX-650 and CP-160 smaller, safer, simpler, and less costly alternatives to radioisotope irradiators for radiation exposure and oncology studies.
